PIERS —— A global symposium committed to
advancing photonics and electromagnetics for the benefit of humanity.
Lithium niobate is regarded as the “silicon of photonics” because of its many excellent optical properties such as large second-order nonlinearity, wide transparency window, low nonlinear absorption, etc. Recently, the emergence of integrated lithium niobate platform, exploring light–matter interaction at the micro/nanoscale, opens a new avenue for high-performance integrated optical devices for both classical and quantum applications. This session focuses on the recent progress of integrated lithium niobate photonics, including but not limited to passive and active devices, electro-optic modulators, frequency combs, optical parametric oscillators, etc.
Keynote Speaker: Prof. Marko Lončar || Harvard University
