Session Infomation

Characteristic modes (CMs) provide a general approach to understand the radiation mechanism of arbitrarily shaped electromagnetic structures and materials, which can be applied successfully to analyze, design, and optimize various types of antennas. The session focuses on recent advances on theory and applications of characteristic modes to antenna analysis and design. Topics include but not limited to the novel computational methods for the CMs of composite electromagnetic structures and applications of CMs in antenna engineering.
