Optical fiber based lasers have been an attractive research topic for both academic and industrial community. Many aspects focused on this topic have been explored intensively. This session focuses on recent progress of optical fiber based lasers, including CW laser, pulsed laser and nonlinear laser dynamics. Particular, applications of fiber lasers are highly welcome including, but not limited to, fiber communication and sensing systems, microwave/millimeter-wave generations, biomedical domain etc.
