Session Infomation

The rise of plasmonic metamaterials in recent years has unveiled the possibility of revolutionizing the entire field of optics and photonics. Furthermore, the study has also been extended to microwave and terahertz frequency band. Novel applications include microscopy beyond the diffraction limit, nanoantenna arrays, optical computing, high sensitivity biological and chemical sensing, etc.

In this session we aim at dealing with the aforementioned recent researches in the field of plasmonic metamaterials. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
  • Plasmonic metamaterials theory and modeling;
  • Novel waveguides/devices based on plasmonic metamaterials;
  • Novel physical phenomenon based on (spoof) surface plamons;
  • Effective surface plamons polaritons (SPPs);
  • Active plasmonic metamaterials;
  • Digital/ Programmable plasmonic metamaterials;
  • Nonlinear plasmonic metamaterials;
  • Biological and chemical sensing;
