Session Infomation

Metasurfaces exhibit unprecedented ability in controlling electromagnetic wave precisely at the subwavelength scale, which suggest a new route for ultracompact image display technology such as holography and structural-color printing with high-resolution, high-fidelity, and high efficiency. This session focuses on the basic principles of amplitude, phase, and spectrum manipulations with metasurfaces, design approaches of meta-hologram and structural-color nanoprint, as well as their applications in anti-counterfeiting, information encryption, VR/AR, etc. Example topics include color holography, two-dimensional/three-dimensional holography, grayscale/color nanoprinting, multichannel/multifunctional/multitasked meta-image displays, integration of meta-holography/structural-color printing with other optical functions, etc.
