Session Infomation

In the past decades, much research effort has been devoted to the development of novel fiber sensors, such as distributed sensors, gratings sensors, micro/nano-structured sensors, photonic crystal fiber sensors and etc. Meanwhile, more and more research interest in fiber-based devices have been attracted for further enhancing the quality and capacity in applications of chemical, environmental, biological and medical sensors, in particular the ones for security and defense. This session will provide an overview of some of these research and development not only in academic but also in industry.
