Session Infomation

Thermal metamaterials are emerging artificial functional materials for the manipulation of heat transfer. Today, related researches are covering a broad range of topics, targeting at conductive, convective, and radiative heat at various length scales. Thanks to the developments in fields including thermotics, phononics, and photonics, many thermal metamaterials and devices have demonstrated great potential in thermal management and thermal information processing. This session aims at communicating the research progresses on the design, fabrication, and application of functional thermal materials and devices. Potential topics include but are not limited to: thermal metamaterials, phononics, thermal photonics, far-field and near-field radiative heat transfer, radiative cooling, thermoelectric effects, and other multi-physical thermal effects.
