SC3: Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaics 11

Session Chairs

Session Infomation

Crystalline silicon solar cells, dominating global photovoltaic market for many years, have been most important photovoltaic technologies so far. Compared with other photovoltaic materials, e.g., cadmium telluride, copper indium gallium selenium, III-V semiconductors, organic polymers as well as the rapidly developed perovskites, crystalline silicon is non-toxic, rich in reserves, highly stable in device performance, and thus still strongly attractive in both industry and academic. Crystalline silicon solar cell architectures such as PERC, Topcon, HJT, and silicon/perovskite tandem cells represent technology trends for high efficiency from the present to the future. Addressing the tasks such as light management, advanced passivation, device design and simulations, and experimental fabrication verification is the key to that end. This session focuses on silicon solar cells. It includes but is not limited to the above topics.
